FINDING INNER PEACE DURING TROUBLED TIMES

❁ Commit to habits, practices, routines and rituals that are good for your wellbeing, even when you don’t want to.

❁ If negative energy arises – recognise it, smile to it and invite something nicer to come up and replace it; read some inspiring words, listen to a piece of beautiful music, go out into nature.

❁ Learn to embrace uncertainty – have faith and trust that all is happening as it is supposed to. When you try to control everything you can end up enjoying nothing. Sometimes you just need to relax, breathe, let go and live in the moment.

❁ Don’t forget the power of laughter! Laughter really is the best medicine because it releases ‘feel good’ hormones including endorphins, serotonin and dopamine into your bloodstream making you feel uplifted & more positive.
It has the ability to strengthen relationships by breaking down barriers, creating positive bonds & emotional connection between people.
Studies have also shown that laughter naturally increases pain tolerance as endorphins are your body’s natural painkillers.
Laughter improves breathing & performance – a good laugh clears your lungs as it helps to expel residual air that can stagnate at the bottom of your lungs.
It oxygenates the cells of your brain and body, increasing energy levels & promoting better health.
Laughter can increase your overall sense of wellbeing. Doctors have found that people who have a positive outlook on life tend to fight diseases better than those who are more negative.

So smile, laugh & live happier!

SPRING IS NATURE’S CLEANSING SEASON

As the days grow longer the sun gets stronger, the flowers bloom and we are drawn out of our winter hibernation. Spring is about renewal and wakening to the beauty around us.

It is also the perfect time to cleanse the body of accumulated toxins (ama) so we feel lighter and more energised.

Ayurveda recommends cleansing therapies at this time because our tissues (dhatus) are more willing to release toxins during this season.
Spring is also the time to get active and move more – to energise your mind and body as we may be feeling a little heavy and sluggish after winter.

*If you would like to have a wellness tune-up book yourself in for an Ayurvedic Consultation and let us create a personalised program especially for you.

THREE SPRING CLEANSING ESSENTIALS

Nasya

Ayurveda recommends the application of medicated oils into the nostrils to protect the respiratory tract from pathogens entering.

This Nasya procedure also provides a lubricating filter against the entry of airborne virus particles.

It is particularly beneficial in Spring as it helps alleviate sinus congestion, hay-fever and other allergies.

Nasya used on a daily basis promotes clarity of mind – enhancing memory & concentration.

Nasya Oil – 50mls – $25.00

Gandush
Sesame Oil or Coconut Oil can be used as a mouth swish to draw out toxins from the mouth, throat and nasal cavities to protect against bacteria & viruses.

Gandush is also a powerful way of cleansing not only the mouth, but the entire head and neck area of accumulated toxins.

An excellent remedy at this time of year to help combat the congestive effects of sinus and hay-fever.

Organic Black Sesame Oil
200mls – $15.00
500mls – $30.00

Triphala Powder

Triphala is an ancient herbal remedy that has anti-bacterial, antioxidant and anti-infllamatory properties. This combination of three medicinal fruits improves digestion and has a gentle cleansing action drawing toxins from a deep tissue level.

Optimising gut health is extremely important because 80 per cent of our immune system resides here.
The regular use of triphala can inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria in the gut while supporting the growth of beneficial bacteria.

Organic Triphala Powder – 100g – $15.00
